If you have a question about Block Management please drop us a message – a member of the Optima staff will get straight back to you.
How much notice do I have to give our current managing agent
Please check your current management agreement, but it is normally between 3-6 months
Are the contractors you use vetted?
All of our contractors undergo a rigorous onboarding process, which includes thorough checks on insurance, RAMS and other key compliance requirements
Im selling my property - how do I get my conveyancing pack?
Please request that your solicitor contacts us directly with any queries regarding your property, so that we can collate them for inclusion in the conveyancing pack
Can I have tuition on using your portal?
Yes, we provide training on how to use our resident portal. Please email us and we will arrange this for you
How do I pay my service charge?
Payment details can be found on your invoice and through the resident portal. Payments are typically made by bank transfer or direct debit
Do I need my own insurance?
The building insurance covers the structure of the block, but not your personal
belongings. We recommend taking out your own contents insurance.
Can I keep a pet in my flat?
Check your lease. Some buildings don’t allow pets, while others require written
permission from the landlord or management company.
What does my service charge pay for?
Service charges cover things like building insurance, communal electricity, cleaning,
maintenance, gardening and management fees. A breakdown is sent to you each
year with your service charge demand.
How can I get involved in decisions about the building?
You can attend residents’ meetings, contact the directors of the residents’
management company (if there is one), or share your views directly with the
managing agent.
